Personal Statement
I believe in exposing my students to a wide variety of singing styles complete with strong foundations in proven Bel Canto singing techniques. I used to think that nine and ten-year-olds were too young to benefit from singing lessons, but I have been proven wrong by a number of very talented pre-teen girls who have studied with me for several years. Three of these students have released their own CD recordings, and one of them has released four CD recordings since December 2002. I expect a once-a-week, 60-minute lesson committment from all my students. I often ask the question: Why would anyone study singing with a non-singing musician when you have the opportunity of studying with an experienced professional singer and one who is an active performing artist?
