Personal Statement

i teach the way i was taught. instead of just coming over once week wwith only a breif case handing out worksheets and only telling the student what to do, i bring my guitar with me in addition any papers(example sheets, sheet music, what have you) and i instruct through showing the technique and desribeing it to the best of my ability. i'm very hands on, and very passionate when it comes to music. I'm dedicated to instruction, but that does not mean i have to be a robot. my lessons aren't like typicl classroom serious uptight instruction. learning to play guitar can be difficult and frustrating, but i like to have fun with it so it feels less like school, and more like a jam session, which is exactly how my mentor taught me. from the get go, he never saw me as a walking chheck, he got to know me, me had laughs, jammed, and because of this i am a better musican and person, and that is exactly rhe kind of teaching i use. learning the guitar is only drawn out and boreing if u let it be like that, but it can also be alot of fun. i would also like to point out, i have a realitvelyy impressive library of modern rock song trnacriptions and would be happy to help a student learn those or any song they bring in. if you wanna learn to play guitar and have a little fun doing so i am your man.
