Personal Statement
I am really excited about your desire to learn to play the piano and I appreciate your considering me as your teacher. I primarily use the Alfred Piano Method because it offers such a wide variety of music levels to choose from. However, I also have taught out of the Noona Series, Hal Leonard Method, Glover and FHJ (Faber and Faber). Music is such an important skill in that it teaches so many qualities that are necessary for success in life. Not only do you learn an instrument, but you also learn perseverance, discipline, responsibility, time management, precision, motor control, creativity and self-expression, etc. Music is a wonderful way in which to express who you are. Each musician has his/her own style in performing which is highly individualistic. I hope that you will pursue music for yourself or your child!
